Example development notes 1:

(Jan 24): Club closed suddenly on 25 Nov 23. Now a planned Anytime Fitness club, with no scheduled opening date yet.

(Apr 24): Final work still being done on the unit.

(Dec 22): Decision due in Jan 23 following consultation re closure of Birtley Swimming Centre and Gateshead LC.

(July 23): Centres closed on 21 July 23. Talks to transfer centre management to community ownership are ongoing, so it's possible it may re-open.

(Feb 24): No firm reopening date yet as council Community Asset Transfer of 50 year lease not yet complete.

(Mar 24): Centre could re-open within 3 months once lease transfer is completed.

(May 24): Asset transfer to Gateshead Active Ltd on 31 May with re-opening scheduled for 14 June.

(June 24): Site opened on scheduled.
